Mourning via Social Networks
Today Scott Kleinberg of the popular Chicago RedEye Newspaper wrote an article titled "Is it OK to grieve in 140 characters?" that posed a great question.Given the recent deaths of pop star Michael Jackson, 2-year-old Bryson Ross who the world found out about last month after his mother started tweeting after her son fell into a backyard swimming pool and died and Casey Johnson, the world has seen a sudden display of mourning in the public via social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
So SillyStats wanted to know what do you think? Is is it in poor taste to mourn via public social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace?
