If you need "always at hand" solution - use mobile with HQ camera, if you need pro solution - buy pro. But "for fun" and for kids - why not? Nice model

Yes! Our company uses them on our trips to Africa. They function well, are easy to carry, and are relatively inexpensive in case they get lost in travels. Also, for work purposes you don't want to be using your personal device.

@SamanthaBankey They are inexpensive video cameras. "It is what it is". If you are looking for something to last a few summers and take really good video then spend more money.

I'm really bummed they aren't making those anymore... I was going to get one! :( But if everyone is saying they're no good, I'm glad I know now!
