• 1 Likes - Should it be illegal to video/audio record police? I find no problem video taping a police action. It protects the rights of both the officer and the person with whom the officer is involved. Right now in many departments video taping is performed on all traffic stops. Public video tapes as long as they do not create a problem for officers is good as it allows the possibility of observing crowds that sometimes contain people involved in crimes and at the same time provides additional perspectives if there are promlems during an incident. Examples are the death of a bart passenger in the SF Bay area and several years ago the Rodney King incident in the LA area.
• 1 Likes - Movies are never as good as the book? I have read a number of books that were not as good as the Movie. Two prime examples I can think of are the Bible - Although good it left room for much more and Hawaii. Both of these books will never be completely covered in movies. Think of all the movies that are related to each subject. Also books leave more to the imagination when they are read. Reading for many is a lost art form!
• 1 Likes - What's the REAL reason why women like "bad boys"? (Check AskEachOther.com/Dating for the Article) Before I married I was told more than once that I was too nice! Well, I guess I was not bad enough. Some of the ladies that said that to me ended up in relationships that did not work out in the end. Would they have worked with me. Maybe not, but since there was never any relationship it will never be possible to know. I just know from observations that many folks choose a mate for all the wrong reasons and or they treat their mate in ways that are not good and I do not mean just by physical or mental abuse or the use of drugs or alcohol. It is important for husbands to love their wives physicall, mentally and spirtually and it is imprtant for the wive to proved full respect to the husband..

Why should there be? Gasoline is sold by free enterprise. No on has a direct right to it. I do not like the price of gas but I have to choose when and where I drive to need less of it.

09/16/11 - Do you think it's ridiculous for your boss to fire you because you were late too often?

In most jobs the employer has the right to fire an individual for most any action at any time. If one is late on a regular basis that would be a a justifiable cause for dismissal. My Dad taught me to leave an extra 1/2 hour for any appointment so I would be ontime!

Which one? There are earthquakes every day. The only ones we hear about are the major ones and the U.S. usually gets involved in some fashion.

Geography has taken a back seat in many schools. Most folks probably do not even know the definition of Eurasia. In addition there are 3 America's. North America, Central America (believe it is considered part of North America) , and South America.

07/25/11 - Who will the Government Shutdown hurt the most?

The average member of congress today is more interested in getting what they can get for their own communities. Can't fault them for that but it comes at the expense of spending monies that the government does not have. In addition the average congress person is more insterested in their own perks and pay check than that of the nation at large. Any spending bills should deal with 1 subject and no more than that. Instead amendments are added to almost all spending bills to add special items so someone will vote for it.

07/25/11 - Should spending be cut for Planned Parenthood and Title 10 Programs to avoid the government shut down?

There are many too many mandates where goverment gets involved. I am against abortion but in the end it is the woman's decision. Not mine. For those that favor abortion they need to be sure that they are involved in helping women that go through the agony of the experience of abortion!
