On March 02, 2011 Apple announced that that the new iPad 2 will be available March 11, 2011. Of course Apple modified the design a little bit. They made it 33 percent thinner for starters. iPad 2 also has two HD cameras built in, one in front and one in back. These cameras are great for FaceTime and video recording.
The new iPad 2 still has a Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models. Also, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB are still the storage capacity options. In addition, they have opened 3G support to Verizon and put a 1GHz dual-core A5 processor in the device. Another hardware plus is HDMI support and digital audio support for compatible screens.
FaceTime, as I said, is now available on the new iPad 2 but, the fact that it has mirroring support through the video out port. That now means that whatever you see on your iPad 2 will be displayed on another screen via the correct adapter.
Other new features are the three-axis gyro, which senses the way you’re holding the iPad 2, and the white color option. I think Flash support should’ve been added to the iOS but, even without that it’s a great product!
With this knowledge…Do you think people that currently own the iPad should fork over money for the iPad 2?
