Have you ever heard of "social looping"? Well, I believe that everyone will know what that means soon enough. There is a fairly new website called EverLoop.com that's coining this phrase. What is everLoop.com you ask? In simple terms, it's facebook.com for tweens. Tweens, in this case, are kids from the ages 8-13. I think we all agree that facebook.com and myspace.com is not for kids. Apparently the founders of everloop.com thought the same.
Personally, I think that everLoop is cool! Yea that's corny but the sign up features and the parental features are nice! You basically know what your child is doing and whatever you don't see everLoop's analysts see. Keep in mind it still is as advanced as other social networking sites. The site's setup definitely promotes privacy between your kid and others they DON'T know. Imagine this... you child can communicate with fellow classmates and close friends via the internet without having to use facebook.com, myspace.com or instant chat. Your child also is not subjected to adult targeted ads and no one can communicate with them without you, as a parent, allowing it.
I hope this website lives up to it's promise. If so, I'll be letting my child use it someday. Thanks for reading. Please comment and vote below.
