This is FriedChicken with a "heads up" to everyone who has the Trapster app on their phone. Trapster has reported that there was a security breach on their system. They also advise anyone that uses the Trapster app to change the passwords to ALL major accounts that you use. Trapster has not specified how the breach happened and what kind of data was compromised, yet.
The Trapster app is designed to notify the user of speed traps. I have used the app until I realized that I don't really speed. So, I deleted it months ago. At the time of the breach, there were around 10 million users. My advice to anyone that has the app is to delete it until everything blows over.
Another piece of advice is to write down your passwords and keep that info in a safe place. There is no way anyone could have seen this coming but, for Trapster and the people using the app, this is really bad news!
