I’d like to think I’m a pretty easy going person. I let things slide, and try not to be annoyed and bothered by the little things. But there are certain things that frustrate me to no end. Like when a loud noise wakes me up minutes before my alarm clock is scheduled to sound.
Because if the noise happens five or 10 minutes before it’s wakey wakey time, the chances of me falling back asleep for that little bit are slim to none. It’s like I’m cheated out of my last few minutes of paradise.
Like I was yesterday morning, when my blackberry started a’buzzin’ 12 minutes before I was scheduled to rise and shine. I wanted to ignore it, but it was right by my ear, and shocked me out of sleep. So I rolled over, hit the rolly ball, and scrolled to my inbox to see what was up.
And there it was:
A Facebook friend request from my dad.
Yea. My dad joined Facebook yesterday, and now we’re friends. Which is fine, because my dad and I have a good relationship, and I have nothing to hide from him – I didn’t even send him to “limited profile” status. He can see all my pictures and the ridiculous comments posted on my wall (I’m praying my friends can learn to censor some of their inappropriate jokes). But while it’s “no big deal,” I still think it’s kind of weird.
How many of you are friends with your parents/children on Facebook?
